We’ve just announced the winner of the PortraitPro Spring Competition.
For the last 3 months PortraitPro users have been submitting their images to our Spring competition.
We have seen some fantastic images in a huge range of styles and were blown away the breadth of knowledge, and creativity demonstrated.
In the end, there could only be one winner and we're pleased to congratulate Shirley Teasdale of the UK who won $500 for her black and white portrait.
The judges loved Shirley's use of the lighting controls to add drama to the image.
"It's of my youngest daughter Shelley, (age 20) who I usually have to bribe into a photo session! She was getting fed up of me clicking that day
and laid down waiting patiently for me on the black piece of fleece I was using as a backdrop, I said 'Hold it there'!!!
I rearranged her hair slightly and got my shot!...I'm 53 and been fascinated with photography as far back as I remember!
I have a Canon 7D, it was taken on 1/200 sec ISO 400 f5" - Shirley Teasdale
As well as the winner, the judges also selected five runners-up. You can see all of the before and after images in our
