skipping anchor points

Hi there everyone, newbie here- yep I hear u groaning!

how- and u wise ones will know this- can I retouch a face that is neither front on or full side. when I use anchor points the mouth is distorted because its so close to the edge of the face, if i skip anchoring mouth then the eye tabs/sliders are unavilable later on- not winning

Ive wanted this program for years, now its here- its a jungle ; ) !!!

happy to take my time and learn it like I have CS5, LR4 and Nik- but need to get this pic done for client -have other ways - but thought id give the new baby a whirl,
