Hi,
I´m calling up PP from within lightroom - and this works great as has been for several versions.

One thing still annoys me a bit when doing so: When coming back from PP into lightroom the edited image shows up as expected, but it has lost all the meta data (picture rating, color flags, etc.) from lightroom that the original had.

For me it would make sense to keep the original meta data, because if e.g. you have filtered to only show pictures with 5* - when you come back the picture from PP will not show at all because it does not retain the 5* rating.

Calling up Photoshop from lightroom works like I would like - it keeps all the meta data from the original - even if you edit a copy ...

Maybe this can still be squeezed into V11.

I'm guessing it can, simply because they don't have a timetable for the release of PP11.

You might be right on this one - although I hope they do have it ready to show during Photokina this time ... that would allow me to take a closer look.

Also, it might help if others state if they would like to see the same features that have been proposed implemented or if they do consider a proposal as stupid - that should help make the developers a good decision on what to implement.

I think currently the forum is pretty silent ... many views - not many postings.

I will add my voice to this one. While I don't use LR, I do use IPTC tags - can't work without them - and they are stripped by PP.

I use PP to save time - but having the IPTC tags (and apparently accompanying LR data) removed eliminates much of the time savings.

I have started to use LR... and the filtering issue MacSass mentions has come up.

Yep. PP is supposed to save time, and it does... until one brings in IPTC etc.

Well, in my opinion the metadata stored in the image files is one of the big advantages of the digital photo world - it's not a good idea to ignore and lose it, and I try to avoid software that does. PP is really great and there's no alternative, but it's a pity that the metadata has to be added again after using it.
